Dr. Bart Dierynck is Associate Professor of Accounting at Tilburg University and obtained his Bachelor and Master in Applied Economics and his PhD in Accounting at KU Leuven (Belgium). Bart was also a visiting PhD-student at Emory University (USA). Bart’s research focuses on the design of management control systems with a strong emphasis on the role of leadership in organizations. Bart is also developing a research line about corporate social responsibility and the implications for corporate reporting. Bart’s research has been published in world-leading research journals and has been covered by popular media in Belgium, the Netherlands, and the USA. Bart is currently teaching various courses about management control and corporate social responsibility at Tilburg University.
